The pool waiters we kind, but it seemed like they avoided us compared to those that spoke the language, I had to get up to get anything before they would notice and offer help. Others next to us were waited on all day. We were tipping really well at first too, so not sure what the issue was. The property and other staff were fantastic. I would highly recommend Anax if you will be staying on Mykonos.

The pool was amazing, even long enough to do laps. The breakfast can’t be beat! Made to order and good selection. The staff were very attentive. I would not reserve a room with a hot tub again. We had a view of the roof of the bar and a power transformer, and the biting bugs were relentless. We tried to use the hot tub for maybe 5 minutes in our 3 night stay. Be aware that there’s not much in the area of the hotel. You have to walk down the hill about 10 minutes to get to a restaurant and take a bus from there to get to the old port and all the shops.

The hotel offers a free shuttle from and to the port and airport, which is a plus given the taxi fares on Mykonos. Hotel structure and location are excellent. Good breakfast and restaurant. The big con for us was the shower. While it had a glass box, it contained a clogged and slow drain which cause it to overflow fast with the main shower’s water flow, invading the bedroom floor and making a huge mess. My wife couldn’t even wash her hair and had to take a quick shower. After complaining about it at the reception, they did seem to clean the drain and improve water drainage, but soon after two showers the problem reappeared.

This was a pinch-me, I must be dreaming hotel. We had the suite with little pool that overlooked the caldera which gave us the most beautiful experience with the Santorini sunset! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we requested extra towels, or ice when I sprained my ankle. This may have been one of the best and unique hotel experiences I have ever had. 10/10 would recommend!
